Who’s Justin Bolger?

Comic-Con Panelist Justin Bolger

Who am I?

Justin Bolger, contributor to ModernMythMedia.com, TheForce.Net, TVEquals.comFilmEquals.com, and founder of ApexFan.com.

What do I want?

To change the shape of the geek/nerd galaxy through thoughtful and meaningful discussion while having an awesomely fun time.

Why am I here?

Because I love this stuff.  My parents popped in a VHS copy of Star Wars when I was five years old and I was hooked.  My love for genre related characters and stories started there and has grown to encompass many properties including Star Trek, Batman, Superman, Babylon 5, and Battlestar Galactica, just to name a few.  I created ApexFan as an outlet for those passions, and a forum through which I can meet and interact with those who share them.

Where am I going?

Conventions, screenings, expos, anywhere I have to.  We’re truly living in a golden age of fandom where numerous forms of media are designed to engage us (and take our money).  Expect ApexFan to cover this exciting time and provide a place for news, discussion and analysis from all corners of genre entertainment, particularly science fiction, fantasy, and comics.

  1. Awesome stuff! I love finding cool blogs that write about all of my favourite things too. I saw Planet of the Apes (the ’68 version with Heston) on cable when I was a little girl, and I fell head over heels for all things sci-fi, fantasy, comic, and otherwise.
I’m totally pumped to read more or your geeky musings. Keep up the great work! 🙂
